Jacques NIMKI

For the Norwich & Norfolk festival, the London based artist Jacques Nimki produced a a set of postcards sketches of city weeds - The Norwich Florilegium. Imagine a slightly inebriated John Clare, in sharpest botanical mood, doing stand up comedy for a knowing Norwich audience. All the plants busked by Nimki on his cards are real (but have invented names),are beautifully sketched, and - again recalling Clare - are exactly placed inside the intimate geography of the city.
